Broadberry can build and supply CCTV storage systems known as an NVR (Network Video Recorder) or DVR (Digital Video Recorder).
DVRs digitally compresses analogue video streams to a hard drive, on Digital Video Recorders, Digital means the technology used to compress the data is digitised and not the images being digital.
In general DVRs tends to be used for small installations generally for analogue systems in small retail outlets/ small businesses etc which require a few cameras and the storage capacity requirements is low say up to 2 TB.Digital Video Recorders generally don't have more than 2 hard drives and are mirrored through software raid and video inputs directly connect to the DVR itself
NVRs store data streams that have already been encoded or digitised at the camera and stores the digital images via an IP network. This means that an NVR can be located on anywhere on an IP Network.
The cameras connect to the NVR via standard ethernet or in some of the larger installations 10Gbe. NVRs also tend to be used in the larger installations is generally known to have more networking features and has a larger storage capacity and has more redundancy built in such as raid and redundant power supplies etc, Network Video Recorders tend to be use in larger CCTV sites.

All CyberStore VS models are supplied with Microsoft Windows Server 2008 or you can choose to go with Windows Server 2012 as a no cost option, but whichever you choose the unit is pre-installed and configured ready for use, we also setup and configure the RAID controller and drives for a real out of the box experience. All you need to do is install your chosen Windows based VMS, access control and/or video analytics software and you are up and running.
